He had called the police to come get him for assaulting his daughter.
They took Giselle to the hospital where she had to stay the night. Jack took Alicia to the beach and there they finally talked about her past. Jack had realized that he loved her when he heard her yell and knew that he didn't want to lose her. He told Alicia that he loved her and asked her to marry him. Alicia was surprised that Jack would still want her after he found out all she had done. He told her that he was proud of her for putting her child before herself in giving him away to have a better life and to keep him away from Mr.
Alicia agreed to marry Jack. They were married a couple of months later. Jack had helped Alicia find someone who could work with dyslexia to help her learn to read. Giselle had written to the adoption board and told them Alicia's story and they had agreed to tell her where her son was. Giselle had a letter from her son and it said that he wanted to meet her.
